• Insurance is typically at the heart of most litigation, and Randy’s interest in insurance began at an early age, while watching his father conduct business as an insurance agent in Houston, Texas.

After attending and graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Randy returned to Houston to work for his father, whose business had expanded into commercial real estate development.

While working in both insurance and real estate, he attended law school at night, never losing sight of his childhood goal to practice law.

For over three decades, Randy has been very successful in representing a wide variety of clients in civil matters throughout Texas.

In 2006, Randy obtained a $98.8 million verdict on behalf of his client in a commercial lawsuit regarding tortious interference with existing and prospective contracts and business disparagement.

More recently, he coordinated a team of lawyers in Texas and Delaware to defeat a wrongful effort to recover over $200 million from his client. Randy has represented hundreds of individuals and small businesses in recovering money for damages from construction defects, misrepresentations in real estate transactions and wrongful denials of coverage by insurers. He has helped  corporations, insurers, governmental entities, school districts, and religious and non-profit organizations, in a broad range of matters, from transactions to lead trial representation. Additionally, he serves as a testifying expert regarding insurance law and attorneys’ fees.
